EDWARD BELAND TAKEN BY DEATH

Edward J. Beland, 58 of 125 5th Ave., Menominee, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph-Lloyd Hospital.  He had been in failing health for two years.  He was the owner and operator of the Beland Roofing and Siding Company of Menominee until his retirement in 1967.  Mr. Beland was born July 30, 1911 in Menominee.  He married the former Emma Hruska on July 17, 1831 in Menominee.  He was a member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association.

Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Mrs. James Kopish of Menominee; three sons, Darrell, Richard and Patrick, all of Menominee; three sisters, Mrs. William Bero and Mrs. Lando Fehrenbach of Menominee and Mrs. John Settersten of Marinette; two brothers, Arthur of Sacramento, Calif., and John of Wallace; nine grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  The Rev. Michael Dillmore will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
